SimpliGen reviews: is it legit?
Short answer: yes, and here is how to check rather than take our word for it. We wrote this because a paid desktop app from a name you have not heard of deserves exactly that question.

How to check for yourself
- The installer is signed. Right click it, open Properties, and look at the Digital Signatures tab. It is signed through Microsoft Trusted Signing, so Windows can tell you who published it and whether a single byte changed since. Signing proves identity rather than scanning for malware, and Microsoft revokes a certificate when a signed installer is found to be abusing it.
- The business is registered. SimpliGen is a trade name of Raynold Franklin van Heyningen, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce under KvK 94598924, VAT NL005095954B27. Those numbers are public and searchable.
- The people are reachable. We answer in Discord daily, under our own names, including when something is broken. Mail support@simpligen.io and a person replies.
- The work is visible. The community preset packs are a public repo, and when we hit a bug in ComfyUI itself we fix it upstream rather than patch around it. One of ours is merged into ComfyUI, which everyone gets whether they buy anything or not.
What buyers say
These are from the Gumroad product page, where only people who bought it can leave one.
I'm really impressed with this product! It has truly saved me both money and time while delivering high-quality images and videos that typically cost hundreds of dollars a year from major providers. The setup might take just a few minutes, but the results are absolutely worth it. The support team are fast to respond to any issues.
I'm a mid-level newbie when it comes to AI. ComfyUI has been a hit or miss for me, with workflows that don't download, don't update, or are discontinued. SimpliGen has taken that headache away, worth $30 to me. It's being updated every few days, and the devs are active daily in Discord, taking suggestions to incorporate into the app. Top Notch.
Amazing work. They made life much simpler for us and saved us days of manual work getting these models working in ComfyUI. Keep up the good work and make a monster from this app. I will make sure my followers hear about it.
SimpliGen is a great program to simplify AI creation using ComfyUI. I love it. I was super surprised at how easy it really is to use. The best part is one-time purchase, local generation, and lifetime upgrades. If AI is something you want to do without the headache of learning crazy programs, this is it.
Just what someone like me who isn't willing to learn fancy tech stuff wants: a simple straightforward UI that makes everything easy. This is done with love and care and I highly recommend. Excellent support on Discord. I love it.
So far my experience with Wan 2.2 on SimpliGen has been excellent. The developer has been incredibly friendly and helpful, responding multiple times and assisting with small issues. If you've used ComfyUI before and enjoy that workflow, SimpliGen is a great piece of software, very streamlined and easy to use. 100% recommended.
What SimpliGen is not
The fastest way to judge a tool is to hear where it stops.
- Not free, and not open source. It is a one-time purchase. The models are free and open, and you can point SimpliGen at files you already have. If what you want is the node graph, ComfyUI and SwarmUI are free and good, and we would rather say so than sell you something you do not need.
- Windows and NVIDIA only for local generation. There is no macOS build, and AMD and Intel cards cannot run the local engine. The GPU check tells you in three questions, before you pay anything.
- Not magic on a small card. Video wants VRAM. The card pages show real timings from real machines, including the ones where a clip takes twenty minutes.
Common questions
- Is SimpliGen legit?
- Yes. It is made by SimpliGen, a registered Netherlands business (KvK 94598924), the installer is signed through Microsoft Trusted Signing, and the people who build it answer in Discord every day under their own names.
- Is SimpliGen safe to install?
- The installer is code signed, so Windows can tell you who published it and whether it has been altered since. Signing is an identity check rather than a malware scan, and Microsoft monitors signed installers and revokes certificates when abuse is found.
- Is SimpliGen free?
- No. It is a one-time purchase. The models it runs are free and open, and you can point SimpliGen at files you already have. If you want a free tool with a node graph, ComfyUI and SwarmUI are both good and we say so on our comparison page.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes, within 14 days, for the case it is meant for: SimpliGen does not run properly on your computer. EU buyers also have the 14 day statutory right of withdrawal.
More on who builds it and why on the about page. If your card passes the check and the honesty above did not scare you off, pricing is here, and there is a 14 day refund if it will not run on your machine.
