If someone has made intimate images or video of you

Email support@simpligen.io and tell us what happened. This page covers still images, video and audio, including a clip that uses your face or your voice. You do not need an account, you do not need to be a customer, and you do not need to pay anything.

Please do not attach the file. We do not need a copy to act, and you should not have to send intimate material about yourself to anyone. Describe it instead.

What helps us act

  • Where you saw it: a link, a site name, a platform, or how it reached you.
  • Whether it is a photo, a video or audio, and roughly how long it is.
  • When you first saw it, as closely as you can say.
  • Anything suggesting it was made with SimpliGen, such as a watermark, a filename, or something the person who made it said.
  • Whether you have already reported it to the site hosting it, or to the police.
  • What you would like us to do.

What we do

Reports come to SimpliGen directly and are handled by the owner of the business. They do not sit in a general support queue.

We respond within 5 business days and tell you the outcome and the reasoning behind it. Where a report concerns illegal material we act immediately rather than waiting for that review to conclude.

Where it was generated on our cloud infrastructure and we can identify the account behind it, we act against that account. Generating sexual images, video or audio of a real person without their consent is prohibited by our Content Policy and our Anti-Human Trafficking Policy, and it ends the account.

We cooperate with law enforcement requests and we do not require a court order before acting on a report.

What we cannot do, said plainly

We host, publish and display no generated content. There is no gallery, no feed and no user uploads, on this website or in the application. So if something showing you has been published somewhere, we cannot remove it, because it is not ours to remove. The site hosting it is the one that can, and reporting it there is the fastest route to getting it down.

Our software can also be run offline on a person's own computer, with no connection to us. Where that happened we have no record of it and no account to act against. We would rather tell you that than imply a reach we do not have.

Telling us is still worth doing. It is how we find out that a route is being misused, and it is how we decide what to change.

Other places that can help

You can report image based sexual abuse to the police wherever you live, and in most countries it is a criminal offence, whether the material is a photo, a video or audio.

If you are in the European Union, your national authority for online safety or data protection can also take a report.

If it shows a child, report it to the police and to your national child protection hotline immediately, and tell us so that we act against the account on the same day.
