A ComfyUI alternative that is still ComfyUI

SimpliGen is a desktop app with ComfyUI embedded inside it. Same engine, same models, same outputs, without building or debugging a node graph: the graphs ship as presets, and keeping them working when a model or a custom node moves is our job rather than your evening.

The engine you already picked

A portable Python runtime and ComfyUI, installed and managed by the app. When we hit a bug in ComfyUI itself we fix it upstream, so the fix reaches everyone whether they bought anything or not.

Presets instead of workflows

Pick a style, write a prompt, generate. Three steps instead of a graph. Wan 2.2, LTX 2.5, MiniMax H3, FLUX.2 Dev and Qwen-Image each arrive with their workflow and settings already correct.

Updates that do not break you

Node versions are pinned per pack and tested against the engine build they ship with. A new model is a pack version and an update button, not a morning spent reading issue threads.

Will it run on your PC? Four questions, no sign-up

If you have run ComfyUI you already know your card matters more than anything else here. Answer four questions for a straight verdict, built from what the same cards really do in our telemetry rather than from a table someone wrote once.

What it is not, so you can stop reading if this is you

  • It is not a node editor, and it will not import your graphs. Presets are authored against our render pipeline so updates can ship safely, which means your own workflows do not come with you. If building graphs is the part you enjoy, stay on ComfyUI. It is free, it is good, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
  • It does not touch your existing ComfyUI. The engine is installed privately under the app's own data directory with its own Python, on its own port. Nothing is shared with a ComfyUI you installed yourself, so neither one can break the other.
  • It is Windows and NVIDIA only. No macOS or Linux build, and the engine is CUDA based so AMD and Intel cards cannot run it locally. The full requirements list the cards, down to the GTX 16-series floor.
  • It is not free. ComfyUI is, and that is the honest comparison: you are paying for the presets, the engine management and the updates, not for the generation. Our comparison of the alternatives recommends other tools where they fit better.

If the check above said yes, that is the whole decision. If it said no, Cloud generation runs the same presets on our GPUs and does not care what card you have. The licence is refundable within 14 days if it will not run properly on your computer.

Questions

Is SimpliGen actually ComfyUI underneath?
Yes. It embeds ComfyUI with a portable Python 3.11 runtime, renders each preset into a real ComfyUI workflow and submits it to that engine. The app manages the install, the PyTorch build for your driver, and the custom node versions each pack needs.
Can I import my own ComfyUI workflows?
No. Presets are authored against our render pipeline so that a pack update can change a workflow safely, and an arbitrary imported graph has no upgrade path. If your value is in graphs you built, ComfyUI remains the right tool.
Why pay when ComfyUI is free?
You are paying for the parts that are not the generation: presets that already have the right settings, model downloads that resolve themselves, pinned node versions, and an engine that keeps working when upstream moves. If those are not costing you anything today, you do not need this.
Will it conflict with the ComfyUI I already have installed?
No. The embedded engine lives in the app's own data directory with its own Python and its own port, so the two installs do not see each other and neither can break the other.
What hardware does it need?
Windows 10 or 11, an NVIDIA GPU from the GTX 16-series or newer, 16 GB of system RAM and 32 GB recommended for video, plus disk space for models, which can be 10 to 30 GB each. The check on this page answers it for your exact machine.
