Engine install problems

Fixes for failed or stuck local engine installation.

"No module named pip" or the install stops partway

The local engine is a portable Python + ComfyUI that SimpliGen installs on first local use. If the install was interrupted, retrying can fail because the half-installed engine is missing pieces.

Fix: In Settings → Local Generation, use Repair / Reinstall engine to start a clean install. Make sure you have a stable connection and enough disk space (several GB).

"Git is not installed" or "no GPU detected" when both are present

This is almost always a broken Windows command path (a corrupted ComSpec), not a missing tool. It makes the app unable to run any external command.

Fix: Restart your machine first. If it persists, contact support on Discord and mention "ComSpec". There is a one-line repair for it.

LTX presets fail after installing a Wan pack

Installing some packs can upgrade a shared dependency that another pack relies on.

Fix: Use Repair Dependencies for the affected pack. If a generation was interrupted by an engine restart, start it again.
