Negative prompts

Tell the model what to avoid.

A negative prompt lists things you do not want in the result. While the main prompt pulls the image toward what you describe, the negative prompt pushes it away from what you list.

When to use one

Reach for a negative prompt when a generation keeps including something you do not want, for example:

  • Quality issues: blurry, lowres, jpeg artifacts, watermark, text.
  • Anatomy issues: extra fingers, deformed hands, extra limbs.
  • Style you do not want: cartoon, 3d render, oversaturated.

How to write it

  • List terms separated by commas. You do not need full sentences.
  • Add only what you actually see going wrong. A huge negative prompt is not better and can flatten the result.
  • Start small, regenerate, and add a term only if the problem persists.

Availability

Not every preset uses a negative prompt, and some models respond to it more strongly than others. If a preset shows a negative prompt field, it is supported. If it does not, that model does not use one.
