Enhancer & upscaling

The Enhancer upscales and cleans up images and videos, both ones you generated in SimpliGen and files you upload. It lives in its own section in the navigation, not inside the image/video generators; presets themselves generate at fixed resolution tiers, and the Enhancer is how you go beyond them.

The enhancers

• RTX Upscaler: small (~100 MB), fast, runs directly on your GPU. Good default for images.
• SeedVR2: a heavyweight AI enhancer (model download of several GB, variant-dependent) that reconstructs detail rather than just sharpening. Best quality for video and demanding images. Ships in multiple variants; pick the one that fits your VRAM, and prefer the balanced preset if you see artifacts.

Using it

1. Open Enhance in the navigation rail.
2. Pick a source: a generation from your gallery, or upload a file.
3. Choose the enhancer and scale factor, then run it. Results land in your gallery like any generation.

Limits & quirks

• 4K output cap. Upscales stop at 4K; a scale factor that would exceed 4K is unavailable (grayed out). Tiled upscaling beyond 4K isn't supported yet.
• Enhancing is GPU-heavy like generating: long or high-resolution videos take time and VRAM, and can hit the same out-of-memory limits (Out of memory).
• If SeedVR2 output shows a grid / brown bars pattern, switch to the balanced preset.
• Upscaling can't invent what isn't there: a very blurry 480p source stays soft at 4K. For best results fix quality at generation time first (Improving output quality).
