Keeping listings healthy

A recipe depends on models and components hosted outside SimpliGen. If one of those disappears upstream, meaning it is removed or made private, the recipe can no longer be installed cleanly.

Broken listings

We check published recipes automatically. If a recipe becomes uninstallable, we mark it broken and email you once. While a recipe is broken:

• New installs are disabled, so nobody downloads something that will not work.
• Existing users keep their installed copy, so people who already have it are unaffected.

Fixing a broken recipe

Open SimpliGen, go to the recipe editor, point the recipe at a model or component that is available, and publish again. Once it passes review, it goes back in the store.

Keeping recipes healthy

• Prefer well-established models that are likely to stay available.
• When you swap a model, test the recipe end to end before publishing.
• If you get a broken-listing email, fix it promptly so you do not miss installs.
