# Getting help (/docs/troubleshooting/getting-help)

Support happens on the [SimpliGen Discord](https://discord.gg/v3MkTUAUN6). For anything that isn't answered by these docs:

* **Bugs and errors** -> post in the **issues** forum channel.
* **How-do-I questions** -> the **help-and-tips** forum channel.

Not on the server yet? [Join here](https://discord.gg/v3MkTUAUN6). It is also where releases and new presets are announced.

## Export your logs first [#export-your-logs-first]

For any error, attach your diagnostic logs; it usually turns a multi-day back-and-forth into a single answer.

1. In SimpliGen, open **Settings -> Troubleshooting**.
2. Click **Export Logs**. This saves a ZIP.
3. Attach the ZIP to your Discord post.

## What to include in the post [#what-to-include-in-the-post]

* What you did (preset name, local or cloud, settings that matter: resolution, duration).
* What happened, with the **exact error text** (copy it, or screenshot).
* Your GPU and VRAM (e.g. "RTX 3070, 8 GB").
* The logs ZIP.

<Callout type="warn" title="Never post your license key">
  Don't include your license key in screenshots or messages; keys posted publicly get rotated for your protection. Support never needs the key in public; if it's needed, you'll be asked to DM it.
</Callout>

## License problems [#license-problems]

For activation-limit resets and license issues, DM a team member with your **purchase email** (the one used on Gumroad). See [Activation issues](/docs/troubleshooting/activation) for the self-service fixes first.

## Refunds [#refunds]

If your hardware turns out to be unable to run SimpliGen locally (see [System requirements](/docs/getting-started/requirements)), contact support via Discord with your purchase email.
