# Cloud & Credits (/docs/cloud-credits)



Generate on our GPUs with nothing to install. Here is how to connect and how credits work.

## Local or cloud? [#local-or-cloud]

Local generation runs on your own NVIDIA GPU. Nothing leaves your machine, there is no per-generation cost, and it works offline. Cloud generation runs on SimpliGen's GPUs: no GPU required on your side, and you pay per generation with credits. Both are included in the one-time licence; cloud is optional, and you can switch between them per generation.

## How cloud generation works [#how-cloud-generation-works]

1. Connect. Link your SimpliGen account inside the app. See [Connecting SimpliGen Cloud](/docs/cloud-credits/connecting).
2. Top up. Buy credits without leaving the app; they are sold as token packs and do not expire. See [Buying credits](/docs/cloud-credits/buying-credits).
3. Generate. Pick a cloud preset and run it. Each generation deducts credits; [What a generation costs](/docs/cloud-credits/generation-cost) explains what drives the amount. A generation that fails on our side refunds its credits automatically.
